OK, who here has heard of Rotten Tomatoes, the movie rating site? Well, I hate it. It's too harsh on movies. No movie has ever gotten a 100%. One of the Toy Story Movies had a 100% for a while, but then some lame-o came along and said, "This movie has too much product placement. Ha. Ha. Ha " REALLY? This is Toy Story, what did you EXPECT to see? Gosh. OK, besides the point. So that REALLY AWESOME MOVIE Mockingjay Part 1 came out. And what did it get on Rotten Tomatoes? Well? WELL? A 65%. If you don't believe me, go see for yourself. You know why? Two reasons. It didn't have a Hunger Games. It was a Part 1. Well, as for the first reason, you can see my post right here (about the book). And for the second reason. Well. Here's my rant.
So, Mockingjay was split into two parts, so you gave it a 65. So what did the Hobbit movies get? A 10? And what about Harry Potter 7? That could have been one movie, but did they count it down on Rotten Tomatoes? No! Part 2 got a 96%, for Pete's sake. (Probably just because it was HARRY POTTER. Gosh. Favoritism.) But they count it down JUST BECAUSE it was split into two parts? Yes, they could have made it into one. Yes, they just did it to make money! But so did everyone else! Mockingjay does NOT deserve a 65 just because of the split. And as for the no Hunger Games/ lack of action, well have you read the book? If the movie was chock full of action then I wouldn't like it because it wouldn't be anything like the book. And Suzanne Collins helped with the production, so that probably was part of it. Anyway, so thanks for listening.
Go ahead and comment what you think. Do you think that Mockingjaay Part 1 deserved what it got? Or are you like me and think that Rotten Tomatoes is completely ridiculous? Thanks for reading and as always, remember to cuddle up and read by the fire on these cold winter days!
