OMG. This is not a drill. They're ACTUALLY making a movie out of "Before I Fall" ! For those of you who don't know, Before I Fall is one of my favorite books. It follows Sam, a cliché popular, pretty, and cruel high school girl. She and her group of friends run around their school like they own it...and really, they kinda do. At one point Sam admits, "It's nice that everything's easy for us. It's a good feeling knowing you can basically do whatever you want and there won't be any consequences." That is, until it all changes. Feburary 12th starts out like any other day. Laughing with friends, flirting, partying. But when Sam and her friends are involved in a tragic accident, Sam wakes up not in a hospital bed but to the ringing of her alarm clock. She's stuck in the endless repetition of one day: Feburary 12th. While the basic plot isn't unique, what makes this book amazing is how Sam changes throughout the story. She has moments of confusion, anger, cruelness, and she even spirals out of control at one point. But in the end, she figures out how to fix what she's ruined and heal those around her. Awww. Without further ado, on to the trailer.
Needless to say, I'm super excited. Sam doesn't look quite like I imagined her, but whatever. That's okay. I have a feeling that the movie will be just as emotional as the book judging on the few seconds of Juliette in that trailer. And the last few seconds, oh no, Those of us who read the book know what's coming. All the feels. I can't wait for this movie to come out! I'll be counting down the days.
